Ecstatic dance is an approach to movement that is not choreographed.

That means you can move in the way that feels true for you. That may be gentle swaying or spinning about the room, or something in-between.

The dance floor belongs to us all, to create with our own choices, energy and expression.

Whilst some people want to interact with others in the space, many people will also like to close their eyes and take their own inner dance journey.

Sensitivity to interacting with others is a well-known ground-rule in this type of practice.

The group energy is still part of our experience and it can become blissful - literally ecstatic - which is part of the joy of this process.

In this context, shamanic means transformational, moving through an inner journey as well as an outer journey.

You will be guided on a journey that starts deeply meditative and internal, that evolves into a powerful rhythmic group expression and rises into a more expressive musical journey - including a live set with Alana and the musicians - and ongoing channelling of high-vibrational energies with Alana through the process. We gentle down and simmer softly to close the process.

This container combined with Alana's capacity for energy work can evoke healing, ensuring that you leave the encounter different to how you entered it - in a good way.

That is the shamanic aspect - you are reborn spiritually through the journey.

Ground-rules keep the container pure and potent.

BOUNDARIES
We give personal space and respect to each person present. We practice sensitivity and don't approach people through the dance for conversation. Mutually-welcome interactions can spontaneously occur but we keep our focus is on the journey. Conversations can flow after the dance.

PHONES
We are live streaming but this will be done in a non-intrusive way with respect for participants. No individual phones recording in the space please. If you need to take a call do so before or after and leave your phone switched off during the journey.

CLOTHING
Express yourself whilst being mindful of others. It's Halloween and some may want to lean into that and play which is fabulous. You are also welcome to wear casual clothing that you like to move in. We can remove layers as we warm up but we maintain a base layer of clothing on during the event, remaining mindful of others whilst we all journey together.

SOBER
This is a 100% drug and alcohol-free event which keeps the space conscious, connected and clear for all participants.

CLOTHING
Wear what you are comfortable in. Dress up if you wish. All is welcomed. It is only our souls that we are unveiling! A base layer of clothing remains on during the event, so think in terms of layers. Many will choose to dance in bare feet, grippy socks or soft-soled dance shoes. Please bring footwear that feels best for movement.

NOURISHMENT
Bottled water is a great idea for hydration. If you want snacks, bring them, but you will likely be immersed in the process and focused on the journey.

PERSONAL ITEMS
Travel light with what you need. Please note we have a high-trust community but each guest is ultimately responsible for their items on the night. Personal items are kept out of sight and off the dance floor during the event.

WALLETS
Your ticket is inclusive of entry however we will have a small curation of aligned vendors at the event so you may wish to bring your phone or card for spontaneous purchases on the night. Please bring ID for entry.

PHONES
These are switched off once we enter the space. Please have your ticket on your phone for entry and then switch off once you enter the space.

ALTAR ITEMS
If you want to bring personal items to be blessed on the altar during the opening, please do so. Then place your altar item back with your personal items once the dance journey begins.

Our live stream is global, conducted by an experienced technician in high definition with excellent audio quality. We recommend that at-home guests use high-quality speakers or headphones for best experience. You may also like to set up your own altar at home to join us. Please keep safety measures in mind such as lit candles and incense if dancing at home.

Tickets are pre-sale only to maintain a comfortable capacity for guests. Tickets are limited and we expect the event to be sold out.

Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the event. If you cannot make it on the night, you are welcome to transfer your tickets to another guest, but please give them the original ticket to show on their phones.
